Inbound email was no longer being processed by the Email Response Group.
Symptoms
Inbound email was no longer being processed by the Email Response Group. Error message being observed was as per the following:
EMR_Log|GenericError|1|000074f84d631628:0|2011-02-22 10:42:33|POP3 - PASS-fout: -ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
This states that the password/login is incorrect for the Mail box being used to retrieve Inbound email transmissions.
Changes
If the login/password expires on a mailbox for a third party Email Server - for example MS Exchange - then these errors can be seen and this behaviour observed.
