We have to dealing with large number of zipcodes in Geography for alignment rule, we want to use wildcard to save creating zipcodes one by one.  We are not asking how to use/usage of wildcard in Assignment Rules. We already have assignment rules in production using criteria values with wildCard. Issue we are facing is while using wildcard in the Postal Code 'Geo Value' in Alignments/Territory under Territory Management > Alignments Administration > Rules > Geography in application UI.

The alignment is created fine with wildcard character * in Postal Code Geo Value such as 00501*, 1212RD*, for example:

Geo Type = Postal Code

Geo Value = 1212RD*

Territory #: T - Asterisk Test 001

Territory Name: T - Asterisk Test 001

Assignment Object: Account

Action Add

But Run Alignment task failed with Status = 'Alignment Run Failed'.
