After Siebel Upgrade To Version Modify Asset Shows Conflict Page in Configurator (Doc ID 1327303.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 12, 2015

Applies to:

Siebel Configurator - Version[19251] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When doing a modify asset, Configurator page shows the following conflict message:

"Product - "Root CP"
Relationship "R1"
Removed: Sub Object "Child P1" Quantity = 1
Relationship "R2"
Removed: Sub Object "Child P2" Quantity=1
The item that you are trying to customize contains invalid sub-items or attributes or does not comply with the corresponding customizable product definition. Do you wish to proceed and have the invalid selections removed or fixed?"

1. When pressing Proceed the above mentioned products will be removed. However, because the product model for "Mobile-Prepaid-SAWA" has for both "SAWA Sim Card" and "Prepaid-Mobile-Number" minimum cardinality as 1, it will be added again and while syncing in order line items it will correctly populate "assembly_port_id" and "port_valid_prod_id" values.

2. Values for 'CFG_TYPE_CD', 'ASSEMBLY_PORT_ID' and 'PORT_VALID_PROD_ID' are as follows -

Root(Root CP) - NULL, NULL, NULL
Child(Child P1) - NULL, Dummy1, Dummy2
Child(Child P2) - NULL, Dummy1, Dummy3

Note: Values populated for ASSEMBLY_PORT_ID and PORT_VALID_PROD_ID for child products are dummy values; if we populate correct values, then Configurator doesn't throw error. But, in previously in version, with dummy values also, it was working fine.
