Siebel BI Publisher Reports Fail with Siebel 8.1.1.5/8.1.1.6/ 8.1.1.7/8.1.1.8 & XMLP Report Business Service

Symptoms

The Siebel BI Publisher Reports fail to generate when Siebel 8.1.1.5 Fix Pack is applied to an existing Siebel 8.1.1 implementation that uses the Report Business Service delivered via (<Document 823360.1>).

The following error message comes up on the Siebel UI:

Error <?> invoking method "<?>" for Business Service "<?>"(SBL-OMS-00203)


The XMLP Report Server component log file shows the following error:

How to Reproduce the Issue

1. Install and configure Siebel 8.1.1 and BI Publisher 10.1.3.4.1 integration.

2. Apply the configuration as per (<Document 823360.1>) to enable Report Business Service.

3. Apply the Siebel CRM 8.1.1.5 FP.

4. Apply ACR 633 config changes, as per the Fix Pack Guide.

5. Try to run BIP report from Siebel.

6. Report generation fails with the above mentioned error.
