The customer is unable to generate correspondence in Siebel Call Centre application when the "Generate" button is clicked in "My Correspondence Request".
The status of the correspondence eventually shows -"Failed"
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1. Login to the application and navigate to "Correspondence" > "My Correspondence Request"
2. Select the desired correspondence template and intended recipients
3. Click on the "Generate" button
4. The document status is shown as "Failed"
The behavior was notices in a newly set up environment.
Improper set up of the File system and inappropriate access provided to the logon used by the Siebel Server service triggered the problem.
