Symptoms


====Issue Clarification====

On : 8.1.1.3 SIA[21219] version, Siebel EAI and Oracle Customer HUB

When attempting to call a web service based on SWI Customer Party Service and SWICustomerPartyIO using session management headers,
the following error occurs.

ERROR

SBL-EAI-04381 - a record with identical values already exists in the Siebel database.



STEPS
-----------------------

The issue only happens when an update happens within the same session (using WS session management). This issue does not happen if no session is used.
e.g: updated the INTEGRATION_ID for both Account and Contact in the same request and later try to use this field as the user key for the upsert method.
The query fails to identify the record and thus upsert decides to create a new record.
This is not specific to AIA and the customer can reproduce it using SOAP UI and UCM with the ACR 474,
SWI Customer Party Service calls EAI Siebel Adapter behind the scenes.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot reference a recently updated record in eai siebel adapter upsert when using session management
