In Delta Order Changes Made To Line Item are Lost When Action Code is Delete (Doc ID 1363348.1)

Symptoms


ISSUE DESCRIPTION

In a Delta Order, the changes made to line items are lost when the action code is as DELETE. The values are lost after visiting the product configurator page by clicking on the 'Customize' button and return back to the order ( with or without changes made in the configurator page)

REPLICATION STEPS
----------------------------
1. Add a new field (TOrdField) in bc 'Order Entry - Line Items' . This field is based on the 'S_ORDER_ITEM_X' table , 'ATTRIB_44' field
2. Add the TOrdField field to 'Order Entry - Line Item List Applet (Sales)' applet and exposed it in the UI
3. Add the TOrdField field to the 'MACD Order Entry - Line Items' bc
4. Add the TOrdField field to the 'SIS OM Order' integration object , 'MACD Order Entry - Line Items' integration bc

5. Add a new field (TAssField) in bc 'Asset Mgmt - Asset (Order Mgmt)' . This field is based on the 'S_ASSET_X' table , 'ATTRIB_44' field
6. Add the TAssField field to 'SIS OM Products & Services Root List Applet (Service)' applet and exposed it in the UI
7. Add the TAssField field to the 'Asset Mgmt - Asset' bc
8. Add the TAssField field to the 'SIS OM Asset' integration object , 'Asset Mgmt - Asset' integration bc

9. Add the following user properties in the 'SIS OM PMT Service business' service
name SIS OM Asset.Line Item:SIS OM Order.Line Item Map 174
value [TAssField]:[TOrdField]
name SIS OM Order.Line Item:SIS OM Asset.Line Item Map 134
value [TOrdField]:[TAssField]

10 Compile changes to SRF

11. Create an Order and add a component product and make it an asset to an Account
12. Navigate to the installed view of the Account and Modify the asset. A new Order will be created
13. Go to the Order and customize the line item. Delete a sub product and return back to order
14. The order will show action code for the deleted item as 'delete'
15. In the customized field add some text
16. Now customize the product again and return back to order ( there is no need to make any changes in the configurator page)

17. Note that the entered text is not visible anymore. This happens only in the case of line items with action code as 'delete'. Also, if the line items are fulfilled ( use auto-asset) the text in the custom field is not carried over to Asset.
