Siebel Process Hang in Exalogic Environment (Doc ID 1377943.1)

This document is applicable for any Siebel version running on Exalogic Platform.


After installing Siebel Applications and starting Siebel instance on Exalogic environment issue of Siebel process "siebmtshmw" hanging and application not responding was reported.

OEL 5.5 is operating system used on Exalogic with NFS v4 file systems on compute nodes mounted on ZFS Storage Appliance. Siebel installation was done on NFS 4 shared file system and Siebel instances was started and running on NFS v4.

At the time of the issue when Siebel process "siebmtshmw" hang's ps, kill commands do not work on Siebel processes.
