F9 - How to select recipient from base field of account instead of "Comm recipient applet"

How to use the F9 functionality to email the account's main email address (BC "Account" Field "Main Email Address").
When pressing F9 on the "SIS Account List Applet" with one Account selected, the "Comm Recipient Group Pick List Applet" pops up, giving only the options of Account Team and Account Contacts.
After adding the BC user properties "Recipient Email Address Field" => value "Main Email Address" to the Account BC, the options on the "Comm Recipient Group Pick List Applet" remain the same.
