Purpose

This document aims to provide a number of recommendations which can be used to improve the performance of Siebel BI Publisher Report generation.

A number of suggestions are provided and they should be tested in a non-Production environment prior to release.

Determining Performance Issue Faced With Running Siebel BI Publisher Reports

1) Executing a pre-defined SQL to check if there is a suspected performance issue

1) Increasing the amount of heap memory available to the Java Virtual Machine (JVM)

2) Changing the Server Request Processor DB Polling Interval

3) Minimize the size of Integration Objects/Components

4) Ensure that a minimal number of Business Component fields are flagged as Force Active

5) Ensure that the XMLPReportServer pre-loads the SRF

6) Reducing the overhead during initial webservice loading
