Goal

The 8.1.1 release System Requirements and Supported Platform Guide (SR&SP) states the following:

"Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.4 kernel level 2.6.18-164.0.0.0.1.el5 (64-bit) Update 4 or above is supported.
The following RPMs are required:

■ libstdc++-4.1.2-50
■ compat-libstdc++-33-3.2.3-61
■ libgcc-34.1.2-50"

The Platform dropdown in My Oracle Support Certification matrix only lists "Linux x86-64 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5".
Certified Siebel versions carry the following note:
"Latest OS patches are recommended for full function and security. Clustering Solutions are supported through the Operating System vendor only. The latest available versions of compat-libstdc , libstdc , libgcc and C++ runtime versions are required."

Does that mean that RHEL 5.5 and above are also supported??
