DataCleansing Failing with Message SBL-APS-00118 "ISS API Call failed" (Doc ID 1476665.1)

Symptoms

 

DataCleansing Failing with Message SBL-APS-00118 "ISS API Call failed"

Siebel 8.1.1.5 is integrated with IIR 2.8.07 FixL 153 with AddressDoctor5. When adding/updating an address in the Admin - Data > Addresses view (or any view where DataCleansing is enabled), the record does not get cleansed but instead throws the following error message:

SBL-APS-00118: Data Quality vendor-specific error: An error occurred when calling function 'sdq_datacleanse ()' in connector 'ASM': "(5) ISS API Call failed."

There are no additional detailed error message. This cause datacleansing to not work.

Deduplication is working fine when connected to the same IIR server.

It was also observed that when Siebel was configured to connect to another instance of the IIR server (by modifying the ssadq_cfgasm.xml), it would cleanse properly as well.
