Purpose

The information offered on this article wants to gather common issues and questions around Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.8+ and 8.2.2.1+ installations using Oracle Universal Installer (OUI).

At the moment this is written, this includes the following versions: Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.8, 8.1.1.9, 8.1.1.10 and Siebel CRM version 8.2.2.1, 8.2.2.2, 8.2.2.3. Most of the issues below do not apply to Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.11 or 8.2.2.4.

NOTE: As one cumulative Siebel Maintenance Release Guide (MR Guide) for all 8.1.1.x FP isn't available, you should read the “Quick Fixes Included in the Siebel 8.1.1.x Fix Pack” table in each MR Guide for additional installation instructions (especially in case of fixes that were provided through a quick fix for a previous MR), if you are upgrading across several Siebel MR versions or are applying multiple quick fixes (QFs), you will have to verify the “Quick Fixes Included in the Siebel 8.1.1.x Fix Pack” table in all intermediate MR Guides.

ALSO NOTE: Starting with Siebel CRM version 8.1.1.10, Siebel Innovation Packs special instructions must be installed using the Incremental Repository Merge (IRM) process. This replaces the ACR installation process. More information about IRM is available from:
