Clicking Cancel Button Taking Long Time In Send Email (F9) Functionality in Siebel 8.1.1.3 (Doc ID 1489241.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.
The User selects Send Email from Siebel application File Menu. Then selects the email template. Then clicks on Cancel button.
This operation hangs the application and the control is returned to user only after 1 to 2 minutes. This issue occurs only if the user selects a template and then Cancels. No issue if the template is not selected.
The issue is replicable in all the environments. The time varies in each environment, from 2 mins to 5 mins.
Logs has been attached for the issue.

Symptoms

 switching from Outlook to Siebel native client in User Pref>Outbound communications - did not make any difference at all.

still getting  multiple delete statements in OM log:
