Installation Fails With Error OUI-10136 (Doc ID 1492285.1)

Symptoms



When attempting to Install fix pack 8.1.1.8 (or higher) the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
OUI-10136 An Oracle Home With The Name ...Already Exists" Error Occurs During Installation of 8.1.1.8 trying to patch directory with Siebel Gateway only. Current version is 8.1.1.7.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. launch Fix pack installer
2. select patching existent installation , choose Patch 8.1.1.7 at /siebel , where gateway resides
3. click install, the error appears
