DB Stats Collection Has Some Errors After Siebel Upgrade (Doc ID 1492457.1)

Goal

You have upgraded into Siebel 8.1.1.7 from 7.8.2.14. You are using the oracle recommended method for stats collection - coe_siebel_stats.sql and coe_gather_statistics.sql based on DOC ID 781927.1. In the Dev environment, the stats collection reports have been reporting certain error, which are the following:


ERROR:
ORA-20001: BIN$U09I2G2IV+RGRAAPICSVVG==$0 is an invalid identifier
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 1989
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 2005
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 24669
ORA-06512: at line 1
ORA-06512: at "SYS.SIEBEL_STATS", line 70
ORA-06512: at line 1

It appears that the procedure attempts to gather statistics against tables that are in the recycle bin and that causes it to fail. Those tables in recycle bin appear to be one from Upgrade.

 

You would like to know:

1. purge the recycle bin
2. turn off the recycle bin attribute for the database
