Siebel 8.0.x Email Response Is Not Working , getting error - POP3 PASS error: -ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. (Doc ID 1493925.1)

The inbound emails from outlook using siebel is not working and are not able to be pulled.

Symptoms

On : 8.0.0.1 [20408] version, Comms Server & Email Response

When attempting to use eMail Response
the following error occurs.

ERROR

POP3SMTP[09/20/2012 15:40:20]:ERROR:Socket error 0: (null)
POP3SMTP[09/20/2012 15:40:20]:ERROR:Unable to connect to POP3 server pop3.company.com on port 995
POP3SMTP[09/20/2012 15:40:50]:ERROR:Socket error 0: (null)
...

POP3SMTP[09/20/2012 17:38:44]:ERROR:POP3 PASS error: -ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.
POP3SMTP[09/20/2012 17:39:14]:ERROR:POP3 PASS error: -ERR Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

1. Configure email Response
2. Send an inbound email

Due to this issue, users cannot process inbound emails at all
