XML Converter errors parsing a non UTF-16 XML document, received by EAI JMS Transport from IBM MQ as message of MQ type: MQSTR (Doc ID 1502542.1)

Symptoms

Siebel XML Converter error is observed when an XML message of non UTF-16 encoding is received by Siebel EAI JMS Transport (e.g. by JMS Receiver component task)

    from an IBM WebSphere MQ Queue/Topic, where document was placed by a non-JMS Client as message of type: "MQSTR" (text).

 

Below is the log snippet of a Siebel Application (message was provided to EAI XML Converter from a JMS Receiver workflow process property of type "Binary")
