UCM Batch Process is Leaving Record with Status Batch When Certain Errors Occur (Doc ID 1506531.1)

Symptoms


In some cases the UCM_TYPE_CD column is not updated to Incomplete when the record is processed by UCM Batch Process and and error occurs.

E.g. of the cases:

1 - If the process tries to update a record with field City with more than 30 characters it will fail during SDH update and record will not reach Incomplete status.

The error is:SBL-EAI-13011: Field 'City' in the integration component 'Account_Business Address' contains value 'MELBOU RNE', which is longer than allowed length of 30 characters.

2 - If you try to process a record without External System Id populated it will generate the following error but the column UCM_TYPE_CD will not be updated to Incomplete value.
The error in the log is shown like: SBL-IAI-00436: CIF Transaction Mgr Failed to find System Id in input message

This can cause the process to a infinite loop once the status is not updated remaining in Batch.
