Message Broadcasting Question / Issue:
1. Can the Message Broadcast scroll bar feature be enabled in Open UI in addition to the notification currently available?
Note: Even after changing the CCFrameMsgbar.swt file in "OUIWEBTEMPL" folder to include the message bar, the scroll bar does not display in Siebel Open UI.
2. There is no difference between messages of severity "Urgent" and "Urgent with Alert". The notification icon should blink when there is a message of severity "Urgent with Alert".
From Siebel Fundamentals for Siebel Open UI:
You can access notifications by using the Notification icon. The Notification icon, which appears to the left of the drop-down list for the Saved Queries field in the top right corner of the application window, shows the number of notifications that you have not yet read.
If this icon is blinking, then you have at least one unread message with a level of importance (or severity) of Urgent.
Create a message of severity “Urgent with Alert” in Administration – Communications > Message Broadcast
Result: The number in the “Notification Icon” increases by one, but it never blinks.
