How To Update Existing Contact Records With Marketing Import?

Information in this document applies to any platform.
We exported an internal list from our contacts list view then created a new list from list management.
After that we created the import mapping fields from Administration - Marketing and we create a job for importing our list.
Everything is going fine till now and we can view the data mapping and we activate the job.
In our job setup, we put:
Import mode: Update existing records
Match Resolution Guideline: Reject Import Record
However, once the job finished we can see in the contact list view that all records are imported even if these contacts already exist and if we run this job again also it will create another record in contact list. So duplicate contacts will exist in the Data Base.
