Information in this document applies to any platform.

Siebel SIA FP (Windows) Incremental Repository Merge import sif files and seed data execution:

The seed import for Microsofg SQL Server and IBM DB2 for LUW databases contain ddlimp command lines showing the  /z y option, regardless the user's Siebel database is installed as Unicode or not.

This is the command in import_seed.bat, for instance, that you may locate under Tools_1\INNOVATION_PACK\IRM_811x_822x\IRM_811x_822x\IRM\Seed\MSSQL:

"%DDLPATH%\ddlimp" /u %TBLOUSER% /p %TBLOPW% /c %ODBCDATASOURCE% /l ddlimp.log /f ddl.ctl /z y /g SSE_ROLE /r y /i y /t y /n n

Siebel CRM customers implementing on a non-Unicode Siebel database may face damages in their Siebel data because ddlimp will attempt to implement the changes as if the Siebel database was Unicode.
