Implicit Save is Not Working in Open UI (Doc ID 1554867.1)

Last updated on JULY 01, 2020

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version [23016] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Implicit Save is not working in Open UI with the following Scenarios:

Enter data in any field, drill down on the record, then go back to the earlier view. Result: The Data is lost: it is not saved implicitly

Steps to Reproduce the issue:
- Accounts > Accounts List
- Edit the site field in form applet and click account name drill down
- Site modified data is not saved here.
- It is saved only when the save is called explicitly.

Enter some data and press the back button (back arrow) of the browser, then and come back to the earlier view. Result: The Data is lost: it is not saved implicitly

Steps to Reproduce the issue:
- Fill in A value in the SIS Account Entry Applet
- Do not save or touch the applet again
- Press the back button of the browser
- Result: Record is not saved
- Expected result (conform Active X): Record is saved

Implicit write does not work sometimes.

Steps to Reproduce the issue:
1. Open Siebel Tools and set property "No Update" = TRUE for applet <SIS Account List Applet>.
2. Compile the changes.
3. Start Siebel application.
4. Navigate to Accounts > Accounts List.
5. Select an Account in the list applet.
6. Edit Field <URL> in the form applet
** Note that on the List Applet all are grayed out, but are available on the form applet.
7. Select another Account by clicking on a different row in the list applet.
** Note that an implicit Save should happen.
8. Select the Account that was updated in Step #6

The requirement here is that Account data can only be edited in the form applet; the list applet should be read-only.

Results: Field <URL> is displaying the old value (NOT the new value entered in step #6); thus, the implicit Save is not working.
