Loyalty Tiers Changing Automatically On Assessment Day

We have created a Loyalty Program with following Tier Details
Tier Class Name: Tier Class
Start Qual Period: 1st Day of Month
Restart Qual Period: Qualifying Period Expiration
Assessment Day: 8
Recurring period: Monthly
Tiers: Bronze, Silver (Bronze being the lowermost Tier, hence when a member is enrolled he/she is automatically assigned Bronze Tier)
The desired tier behavior is:
Members will be assessed for their Tier points on 8th of every month. If the points accumulated is greater than or equal to 1000 then Bronze members will be promoted to Silver and Silver members will requalify to Silver. There is no demotion as qualifying points are not getting reset at the end of the qualifying period.
We have created corresponding Tier promotions with “Is Automatic” being the first criteria for Tier movement.
1. Tier is not getting changed automatically on 8th of every month. Manually its possible but not automatically.
2. Also is there a way to reset the qualifying points at the end of qualifying period (i.e. 8th Of every month)
