Control Product Availability: How to set Start Date & End Date fields using "SWI Product Import" service (Doc ID 1561385.1)

Goal

The fields that control the product availability in Siebel are versioned as below :-

Product Definitions > Versions List applet > Fields: Start Date and End Date

Related BC fields:

Business Component :  ISS Product Versions BusComp
Related Web Service BC
: SWI ISS Product Versions BusComp
Fields :   Required Start Date and Required End date
Table : S_VOD_VER
Column : START_DT and END_DT


Using "SWI Product Import" business service (BS) it is possible to set the "Effective Start Date" and "Effective End Date" fields of the BC: "Internal Product - ISS Admin".

these fields  "Effective Start Date" and "Effective End Date" are not used anymore and are for information purpose only.

For controlling the product availability in Siebel through the web service interface, one need to be able to set the fields "Required Start Date" and "Required End Date" of the BC: ISS Product Versions BusComp (Related Web Service BC : SWI ISS Product Versions BusComp).
