After CancelOperation in Browser Script, Hourglass Issues When Using Open UI. (Doc ID 1564691.1)

Last updated on MARCH 02, 2017

Applies to:

Siebel Sales - Version 8.1.1.9 [23016] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After the Siebel Browser Script that includes a CancelOperation executes, the mouse pointer is staying as an Hourglass for from 12 to 25 seconds, and then changing back to a pointer.  This is also seen when a CancelOperation is issued in Open UI PR or PM code.

This behavior is not seen in HI, only in Open UI.

Test Case,

Set up a test - added a button to an applet, and in the Siebel Browser Script for the button, issue a CancelOperation.  Compiled the change and found that after clicking on the button, the hourglass stayed in place of the cursor for 15 - 25 seconds.  The cursor still worked, just it was an hourglass instead of a pointer.

This seems to hold true for both java script in Open UI, or for Siebel Browser Scripts.
