Connection Peaks On Our eService Application resulting in the following SWSE log errors: Failed to obtain a session ID (Doc ID 1568613.1)

Symptoms

On : 7.8.2.14[19251] version, System Admin

Several times per day, there is a very large number of sessions opened very quickly (max tasks of 800 is reached within 1 minute).
How can we identify the source of these sessions?
It means that new users can't connect until these sessions timeout and the following error is written repeatedly to the SWSE log file:

The reproduction steps were unknown at the time of the Service Request creation.

The issue has the following business impact:
Users cannot access the eService application when the issue occurs.
