Symptoms
On : 8.0.0.13 SIA [20448] version, Comms Server & Email Response
SBL-NET-01553: Failed to establish SSL connection.
Communication Server is not talking to Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
The sequence of events:
1- Migrate the Exchange server 2007 from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008.
2- Use the same previous MS Windows 2003 setup for the Exchange server 2007 on Windows Server 2008.
3- No connection is noticed on Port 110
4- Test with telnet from Siebel application server works for port 110 and port 995.
Test case:
1. Setup email functionality using POP3SMTP email driver with "Enable SSL for POP3 = TRUE"
2. Install Siebel Strong Encryption Pack (SSEP) with 128 bit encryption in it ( RC2 128 encryption)
3. Enable SISNAPI encryption.
4. Restart Siebel server.
Check POP3 connection to exchange server from log POP3SMTP log file.
Result: connection POP3 server over SSL fails with the following error messages.
