Applies to:

Siebel Universal Customer Master - Version 8.1.1.10 [23021] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Siebel 8.1.1.10 [23021]

ISSUE STATEMENT:
----------------

Customer was loading data into Siebel UCM environment by loading them into the SDH table first (S_UCM_CONTACT) for contact object records. Then, they ran the UCMBatchProcess task to process the SDH records. The UCMBatchProcess task processes some records and then stops processing records any further and crashes.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
-------------------------------
The behaviour occurs as follows:

1. Load some data into the SDH table, about 40 contact records with various cases for inserts, updates, etc. and Batch UCM Type Code.

2. Run the UCMBatchProcess for the Batch type code data.

3. UCMBatchProcess will insert the first few records and then suddenly stop processing any more records and crashes.

BEHAVIOR PATTERN:
-------------------------------
The behavior is consistent. Each time the UCMBatchProcess component/task is restarted, it again processes a few records and then crashes.  So the issue is not data specific, ie. it is not due to bad data.

ERROR MESSAGE:
-------------------
There are no explicit error message generated in the UCMBatchProcess log file, but when it crashes, the UCMBatchProcess log file always shows the following as the last few entries:
