Siebel Web Server Extension Configuration utility on Fix Pack (FP) 8.1.1.10 (and later) may fail if “New Siebel Web Sever Extension Logical Profile" is not created on FP 8.1.1.10 (and later). (Doc ID 1575914.1)

Symptoms

Under the following conditions, Siebel Web Server Extension Configuration utility fails with the error “Siebel Configuration Wizard failed with error.”

1) Siebel Server and Siebel Web Server Extension (SWSE) have been configured on pre-FP 8.1.1.10 environment.

2) SWSE has been deployed on Windows Server 2008 (with IIS 7.0) or 2008 R2 (with IIS 7.5).

3) FP 8.1.1.10 (and later) is applied on both Siebel Server and SWSE.

4) Siebel Web Server Extension Configuration utility (Siebel_Root\SWEApp\config\config.bat "-mode swse") is launched to configure a new Web Site.

5) Once all necessary parameters are set correctly, click “Next” on the last screen (The Siebel Configuration Wizard will execute using the following settings:).

After a while, it fails with the error message “Siebel Configuration Wizard failed with error." and %Siebel_Root%\SWEApp\cfgtoollogs\cfg\ config_[Timestamp].log shows the following error.

6) dir command on “E:\S81\SES\gtwysrvr\ADMIN\Webserver” folder reveals “eapps_virdirs_sia_latest.bat” file does not exist there.
