Symptoms

Siebel Remote - on version 8.0.0.9 [20433]

Generate New Database Template (GenNewDB) task is failing with errors on a Test environment. Detailed logs show error messages like:

Error creating SQL Anywhere database template file (UTLFileCopy szTemplFileName -> szWatcFileName).
Error in MainFunction (CreateDbTemplateFile)
(gennewdb.cpp (610) err=524292 sys=2) SBL-GDB-00004: Error in Main function.
(smisched.cpp (911) err=524292 sys=0) SBL-GDB-00004: Error in Main function.
...


Impact of the issue: Due to this problem, new database template cannot be generated and Mobile/Developer users cannot have their local databases extracted.
