Incorrect Effective Start Date OOTB Mapping in SIS OM PMT Service (Doc ID 1584409.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Siebel Communications, Media and Energy CRM - Version SIA [21233] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Customer is using Siebel power communication and there is one scenario. During Auto Asset process the Completed date of the order line item should be carried over to the Asset’s “Effective Start Date” or “Effective End Date” depending upon the action code of the line item.
OOTB there is two fields:
1) Calculated Effective Start Date: IIf([Action Code] = LookupValue("DELTA_ACTION_CODE", "New"), [Completed Date], "")
2) Calculated Effective End Date: IIf([Action Code] = LookupValue("DELTA_ACTION_CODE", "Deleted"), [Completed Date],"")

These fields are used in the IO “SIS OM Order”. Now the problem is in the BS “SIS OM PMT Service” there are two user properties mapped to same destination field i.e. “Effective Start Date” and “Effective End Date”. Please find them below:

SIS OM Order.Line Item:SIS OM Asset.Line Item Map 6: [Effective Start Date]:[Effective Start Date]
SIS OM Order.Line Item:SIS OM Asset.Line Item Map 37: [Service Start Date]:[Effective Start Date]

SIS OM Order.Line Item:SIS OM Asset.Line Item Map 5: [Effective End Date]:[Effective End Date]
SIS OM Order.Line Item:SIS OM Asset.Line Item Map 95: [Service End Date]:[Effective End Date]

Now the issue is even if the completed date is populated and action code is add then Effective Start Date at asset level is always updated with the value of “Service Start Date”. Same is the case with “Effective End Date” at the asset level. “Service Start Date” is generally used for “Time-Based Offerings” and it is predefaulted with the value of “Due Date”. So whatever is the value in actual delivery date/Completed Date it will always update the Service Start Date in the “Effective Start Date.

Question: Could you please let us if the extra user properties 37 and 95 because of some functionality or is it a bug. If we inactivate/modify any of these user properties. Will there be any impact on the vanilla functionality.
