Siebel Web Server Extension On HP-UX Web Server hang after upgrade to (Doc ID 1587436.1)

Siebel CRM - Version [21233] and later
HP-UX Itanium


 When running Siebel web server extension on HP-UX platform, starting with Siebel version it is mandatory to deploy HP-UX server version 3.0.3 or above as stated in the certification matrix for SWSE.

 This version is based on Apache 2.2.8 distribution.


It has been detected that when running this version, the web server might consume 100% cpu and loop in a thread with  with the following stack trace:


apr_pool_destroy ()


Using the glance utility, it could be confirmed that this thread was consuming all cpu, which appeared as a web server hang to the end users:

Looking at this thread using gdb debugger it showed:

16 system thread 3001564  Priority:179  apr_pool_destroy ()


The only way to terminate this loop with high cpu consumption is to restart the web server.
