For Siebel 8.1.1.1 Public Sector In IE 8 Browser Back Button Is Not Working (Doc ID 1593562.1)

Symptoms

The customer is using Siebel 8.1.1.1 SIA [21211] Public Sector with IE 8 as browser.

After navigating to different tabs and then clicking on the browser back button, the customer is getting the following error message:

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.04506.648; .NET CLR 3.5.21022)

REPLICATION STEPS:

1. Login to Siebel Application.
2. Navigate to Accounts > My Accounts
3. Navigate to Requests > My Requests
4. Clicking on the browser back button
5. The following error message appears:
