Last updated on DECEMBER 11, 2019

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 7.5.2 SIA [16007] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Following unexpected behaviour was detected, when sing 3rd party load balancer: F5 to balance SOAP exchange to Siebel Web Servers via Siebel URL using https:// (SSL-secured HTTP exchange):

The URI name space prefixes of SOAP response from Siebel Web Service, that were started with "http:" were replaced with "https:"

Expected SOAP Response should be:

As result Web Service client, could not recognize parse the Response message properly

Changed URI string of xml name space failes the SOAP XML validation , because the xml name spaces became not known in accordant XSD schema and the SOAP standard definition.

Inspection of the XML dump files, produced by the EAI Object Manager task (when detailed tracing and arguments dump is enabled): "InboundDispatcher_output_args_*.dmp"

confirmed that Siebel Application Server was producing SOAP response with correct/unchanged URIs (with "http:").
