Alert in Browser Script Is Displayed Twice Using Open UI

On : 188.8.131.52 SIA  version, Siebel VB / eScript / COM
As part of a custom logic on Contact business component, a Modal Dialog box is displayed including some code, in Contact Form Applet, using a Browser Script.
After upgrading to 184.108.40.206 (from 220.127.116.11), it is observed that the Modal Dialog box pops up twice when user selects No option (return CancelOperation is invoked in BC Browser script.).
This behavior is only observed in Open UI and not in HI clients. It is also only observed in a Form Applet but not in the List Applet.
Same situation can be replicated using just an Alert, which is also displayed twice.
Due to some settings generated as part of the custom logic, this behavior is generating issues and the logic is not working as expected.
It is expected to get the Dialog Box displayed once.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Add the following code to the Browser Script in Contact BC.
2. Compile changes in Siebel repository.
3. Start a new Open UI client and go to Contact. In the form for a record try any modification to Last Name or First Name and the alert above will be displayed twice.
