Multivalue group (MVG) Behavior In Open UI (Doc ID 1620681.1)

Last updated on MARCH 02, 2017

Siebel CRM - Version 8.1.1.10 [23021] to 8.1.1.11 [IP2013] [Release V8]

Goal

The customer is using Siebel version 8.1.1.10 [23021].

He observed that when working with multivalue group (MVG) in Open UI (e.g. when adding addresses to an account) the applet with the selected addresses is shown first, even though no address is added at first. The agent has to click on "Show Available" button so that the applet with the available addresses and the new button is seen. In comparison to the previous versions of Siebel, the agent has to go through more steps to add one or more of the available addresses or a new one. This new out-of-the-box behavior is not liked by the client.

The customer wants to know if Oracle is expecting to modify this in a quick fix and leave it as it was before (showing both applets and the New button).
He wants also to know if Oracle expects to change this in future versions.
