Internet Explorer Crash After File > LogOut or Closing Browser Window on Siebel 8.1.1.11 (Doc ID 1621185.1)

Symptoms

 Customer has patched to Siebel 8.1.1.11. The IE browser crashes when a user logs out of the application either by File > Logout or closing the browser window by using clicking the X (top right corner).

This only affects High Interactivity clients and not OpenUI clients and is also seen on 8.1.1.11 with patchset 3 installed.
