Export Hangs in IE8 with Siebel HI Client (Doc ID 1627129.1)

When trying to export records using Siebel High Interactivity with Internet Explorer 8, the Export hangs.

The issue is intermittent.  Given a business component with 300,000 records, the Export may fail at 250,000 records one time, 80,000 records the next time or it may work, as expected.

The Export works using Open UI under Internet Explorer (IE) 8.


1. Launch the Siebel Medical Sales application using Internet Explorer 8.
2. Go to Contacts > Contacts List.
3. Select Menu > Export with the following parameters:
    Rows to Export: All Rows in Current Query
    Columns to Export: All
    Output Format: Tab Delimited Text File
4. Press the Next button.

Result: The Export may work or the Export may hang during the export of records.


The issue began occurring after upgrading from IE 6 to IE 8.
