Task UI: Freezes When Navigating Between Views (Doc ID 1636713.1)

Symptoms

In Task UI, when navigating between views, the application often freezes: users must close the browser.

The issue occurs randomly, but appears to happen in a specific Task when trying to access one View.

 Background and Research

The Task Log Cleanup component deletes records from the S_TU_LOG table that are no longer needed.  This occurs every five minutes to prevent S_TU_LOG from growing too large.

From existing <Bug 16944822>,  records are deleted from S_TU_LOG, even though the records may still be used in the task, especially with the Transient Business Components (TBC).
This may cause error SBL-DAT-00494 during task transactions.

The workaround is to disable the Task Log Cleanup component and to run the Business Service when the volume in S_TU_LOG becomes too big.

Commit steps were removed, as recommended by Oracle Technical Support; however, the freezing continued to occur.
