When Direct Server Sync needs longer than usual, for example longer than 10 minutes. then the sync session sporadically does not end and remains blocked. Behind the scenes it was found that the network connection was dropped due to a too long idle time. Under certain circumstances the connection is not automatically re-established and this blocked the sync process.
