Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Error occus SBL-EAI-04224 while invoking service 'EAI XML Write to File' method ' WriteEAIMsg' with a load balanced environment (2 application servers, 3 shared directories).
The parameter 'EAIFileTransportFolders' at the Enterprise and server level was set correctly with the shared locations.

\\<IP address1>\AccntXML\;\\<IP address2>\AccntXML\;\\<IP address3>\AccntXML\;

Observation:
1. The functionality with an absolute path, for example 'e:\Accntxml', works correctly, but throws an error if a relative path, for example '\\<IP address n>\AccntXML\', is given.
2. If the object manager session is established on <IP address1> (application server 1) and the LOV value is set to \\<IP address1>\Accntxml\ then it works fine.

    Similarly if the object manager session is established on <IP address2> (application server 2) and the LOV value is set to \\<IP address2>\Accntxml\ then also it works fine.
3. If the LOV value is set to \\<IP address1>\Accntxml\ and object manager session is established on other server <IP address2> (application server 2) it fails. Vice Versa is also True.
