Symptoms

The issue in Bug 17582769 ("AUTO SELECT IN A PICKLIST DOES NOT WORK IN OPENUI IN LIST APPLETS") is not fixed for the following scenarios:

A) On the FIRST record of the List Applet
1. Navigate from Opportunity Home Page View directly to Opportunity List View and navigate to the Sales Cycle control.
2. Entering a leading character "D" followed by tabbing of will throw following error:

B) on the FIRST record of the Form Applet
1. Entering a leading character "D" followed by tabbing off will open the picklist
2. Siebel will move focus to next control, hence user cannot pick value. Picklist remains open.

C) NOT on the FIRST record of the List Applet
1. Entering leading character "D" followed by tabbing of will open the picklist.
2. Siebel does NOT focus on the first possible value (should be "Data Entry").
3. If you would type CASE-INSENSITIVE "da" Siebel would filter the picklist to "Data Entry"
4. If you would tab off "Data Entry" will NOT be picked.

D) NOT on the FIRST record of the Form Applet
1. Entering a leading character "D" followed by by tabbing off will open the picklist
2. Siebel will move focus to next control, hence user cannot pick value. Picklist remains open.

E) In List Applets
1. Entering a leading character lower-case "d" followed by tabbing of will in OUI open the picklist
2. Siebel does NOT focus on the first possible value (should be "Data Entry").
3. If you would type CASE-INSENSITIVE "da" Siebel would filter the picklist to "Data Entry"
4. If you would tab off "Data Entry" will NOT be picked.

F) In List Applets
1. Entering leading character CASE-INSENSITIVE "da" followed by tabbing of will open the picklist.
2. Siebel does NOT focus on the first possible value (should be "Data Entry").
3. If you would tab-off the control the selected value is NOT picked automatically.
4. Picklist is opened again.

G) In Form Applets
1. Entering leading character CASE-INSENSITIVE "da" followed by tabbing of will open the picklist.
2. Siebel does NOT focus on the first possible value (should be "Data Entry").
3. Siebel will move focus to next control, hence user cannot pick value.

H) In List Applets
1. In the opportunity list applet, Enter "D" in the Sales cycle field, then TAB.
2. picklist is NOT opened and it can be opened only using mouse. (with other IE browsers and mozilla firefox the pick list is opened when tabbing of).

i) In List & Form Applets
1. Enter "D" or "DA" or "da" in the Sales cycle field, then TAB.
2. The picklist is opened but the values are not filtered according with criterion entered , instead the criterion is wiped out.
3. Customer expectation is that if they enter partial data in a form applet control / list item control, and then use Tab.
The pick list should open (which in most circumstances it DOES) and the entered data should be used for filtering (e.g. NOT wiped out).
