EIM - Siebel OOTB Columns Are Set As Required And Nullable (Doc ID 1905541.1)

Last updated on MARCH 02, 2017

Applies to:

Siebel Enterprise Integration Manager - Version 8.1.1.5 SIA [21229] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 8.1.1.5 SIA [21229] version, EIM

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
There are several OOTB columns that are defined as Required and Nullable. We observe that such columns cause issues while inserting records in the corresponding tables using Siebel EIM, if we do not have a value to provide in the EIM columns. The nullable property of the columns allow us to add records using the application without any value for these columns, but when loading data using EIM, they fail for want of values for a column defined as Required on the Siebel repository.

Examples:
S_PRPTY_ADMIN.PRODUCT_TYPE
S_FINAN_PROF.TYPE_CD

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
This is a Bug

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Check the columns
S_PRPTY_ADMIN.PRODUCT_TYPE
S_FINAN_PROF.TYPE_CD
2. These are defined as Required and Nullable.
