Unable to Change Password with ADSISecAdpt (Doc ID 1909533.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to change password with ADSISecAdpt in User Preferences > Profile View the following error occurs.

SecAdptLog Debug 5 00000080539e0f14:0 2014-06-16 15:56:13 NT name is not available for user 'CN=xxxx,OU=Users,DC=mycompany,DC=com', using basic authentication.


SecAdptLog 3rdpartyTrace 3 00000080539e0f14:0 2014-06-16 15:56:13 (IUnknown*)b00b4f8->QueryInterface() returns 0 and object interface 5b8b70.
SecAdptLog 3rdpartyTrace 3 00000080539e0f14:0 2014-06-16 15:56:13 (IADsUser*)5b8b70->SetPassword(*) returns 80070005.
SecAdptLog 3rdpartyTrace 3 00000080539e0f14:0 2014-06-16 15:56:13 (IADsUser*)5b8b70->ChangePassword(*,*) returns 80070056.
SecAdptLog 3rdpartyTrace 3 00000080539e0f14:0 2014-06-16 15:56:13 FormatMessage() returns 30 and message text 'The specified network password is not correct.
SecAdptLog 3rdpartyTrace 3 00000080539e0f14:0 2014-06-16 15:56:13 ADsGetLastError() returns 0, error description'', and provider name 'LDAP Provider'.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1.Configure ADSISecAdpt
2. Go to User Preferences > Profile View
3. Try to change the password.
