No Automatic Hyperlink In Email Template Using Chrome Or Firefox (Doc ID 1918973.1)

On : [IP2013] version, Comms Server & Email Response

While creating an email template in IE one simply needs to write something link to become automatically a link. In open ui this does not happen in Chrome or Firefox.

1. In OpenUI in Chrome go to:

Site map --> Administration - Communication --> All Templates

2. Create a new template and give it a name "test"
3. Check the HTML box
4. In the message body add the following:

5. Save the record
6. In the database run the following query:


7. In the field TMPL_TXT you will see the


If you do the same in IE it is saved as:

<a href=></a>

Siebel Email Administration Guide > Configuring Communications Templates > Editing and Formatting Controls for Text in Templates

"For email messages, you can directly enter URL or mailto links, and they are automatically converted to links if the template is saved as HTML"
