Unable To Purge Process Instances using Purge Button From Workflow Instance Monitor, Errors SBL-BPR-00100 and SBL-DAT-00359 (Doc ID 1928340.1)

Symptoms

On : 8.1.1.11 [23030] ENU version, Siebel Workflow

When attempting to delete workflow instances by clicking on Purge button, choosing a datetime which is current datetime from the
calendar, and clicking on Purge, it results in the following error:


ERROR

[1]This error is returned when the workflow/task is executing the
Siebel Operation business service.(SBL-BPR-00100)
[2]The value '10/14/2013 03:49:04 PM' cannot be converted to a
date time value.(SBL-DAT-00359)

The process instances are not deleted due to the error.


STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a workflow process named 'Create Service Request' on Service
Request business object with 3 steps: Start, Siebel Operation Insert, End, to
create a new Service Request. Deploy and Activate the workflow process.

2. Set Monitoring Level = 4 - Debug for the workflow process in
Administration - Business Process > Workflow Deployment > Repository Workflow Process > Active Workflow
Processes, query for the workflow process by its Name to locate it,
Deployment Status = Active, set Monitoring Level = 4 - Debug and save the record.

3. Restart Workflow Process Manager component for this change.

4. Execute the workflow process a few times by running jobs on WfProcMgr in
Administration - Server Administration > Jobs. Click on New to create the job:
Component = WfProcMgr
Input parameter: Workflow Process Name
Value: Create Service Request

Click on Submit Job to execute the job. Wait until the Status = Success.
Check in Service Requests screen the new service request is created. In
Administration - Business Process > Workflow Instance Monitor, a new instance
should be created for the workflow execution.

5. Execute the workflow process a few times by repeating step 4 a few times
by using Copy Record on the job from step 4. New instances should be created
for the workflow executions in Workflow Instance Monitor.

6. Click on Purge button in Workflow Instance Monitor > Process Instances,
choose a datetime which is current datetime from the calendar, and click on
Purge. It fails with error SBL-DAT-00359.
