Is it recommended to enable DB connection pooling on the Siebel environment? (Doc ID 1933697.1)

We have recently been given the recommendation from our DBA team that we should enhance the db connection pooling for our siebel enterprise in production as a measure to reduce the CPU usage on the server hosting the database.

Please let us know :-

1> Is it beneficial and feasible to implement the db connection pooling for a siebel enterprise in production.
2> What are the risk factors/trade off that will come up with such functionality.
3> If it is advisable what is the approach and how to implement the same.
