JCA log file not written to path specified in on Unix/Linux. (Doc ID 1942541.1)

Applies to:

Siebel eHospitality - Version [IP2013] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Product Type: Siebel eHospitality
Version: [IP2013]
OS platform: Microsoft Windows x64 (64-bit)
DB: Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition
Env type: Test

Statement of Issue:
An application uses the Java Data Bean/JCA to integrate with Siebel. includes the following:

siebel.loglevel = 5
siebel.logfile = /home/job_spg/SiebelLoader/logs/siebeljca.log

In the log file was created in /home/job_spg/SiebelLoader/logs as expected. In it appears that siebel.logfile is converted into lower case (i.e. /home/job_spg/siebelloader/logs/siebeljca.log). If this directory doesn’t exist it’s automatically created. The log file is created in this directory.

Expected Behavior:
The requirement is that Siebel should recognize the case specified for siebel.logfile and create the log file in the specified directory.

Actual Behavior:
Siebel doesn’t recognize the case specified for siebel.logfile.

Business Impact:
The log file isn’t created in the expected path.
