Open UI Manifest Administration Applet Web Template Entry Not Working On Toggle Applet (Doc ID 1950643.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 04, 2019

Siebel Tools - Version [IP2013] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : [IP2013] version, Configuration - General

The Manifest Administration entry with Type = Applet, Usage Type = Web Template, and Name = AK POP Form Applet w/ toggle is supposed to change the Web Template from "Edit" to "AK OUI Edit Form" in Open UI. "AK OUI Edit Form" is a custom web template that should only be used in Open UI.

If you navigate to a view that has the AK POP Form Applet w/ toggle, then the "AK OUI Edit Form" web template is successfully used. However, if AK POP Form Applet w/ toggle is part of a toggle and you toggle to the applet, then the "Edit" web template is used.

custom webtemplate should be used also when navigate to applet through toggle.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Create a specific webtemplate to be used according to the expression defined in manifest administration
2. Associate this applet to required applet in siebel tools, define the same name as defined in manifest administration
3. Define this applet as a toggle applet
4. Verify that when toggle to applet, custom webtemplate is not used.

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot define custom webtemplates for toggle applets in OpenUI
